Morning Preparations
It’s has been many years since I first started working as a wedding imaging professional. Over these years I have refined my craft to capture wedding videos and wedding photography in a natural candid style.
On the morning of your wedding when I arrive I will quickly survey what is happening and find out where we are at with the preparations. Depending on the job I’ve been hired to preform, either wedding videography or wedding photography, I will get to work.
When I’m filming wedding videography I like to do some interviewing to develop story elements for your film. I will generally interview the bridesmaids one at a time in a quiet room, asking questions of what they might know of your romance. If you’ve hired a second cameraman and similar thing will happen with the groomsmen. It’s sometimes hard to pin the bride down on such a busy morning so I may ask some questions about the romance and groom while the bride is having her hair or makeup done.
For both wedding photography and wedding videography I will also look around for all those beautiful details. The dresses, shoes, jeweler and gifts. Nothing is missed. This is way I usually like to arrive 3 hours before you are due to walk down the isle.
When I’m filming wedding videography I will need to leave for the ceremony at least an hour before the bride is due to arrive. This is because with the videography I will need to set up more equipment and film elements at the ceremony location.
When shooting wedding photography only I can stay longer with bride and bridesmaid and use this time for some portraiture.
